Join the Whangateau Catchment eDNA stream testing project—it’s an incredible opportunity to learn, explore, and uncover the hidden life in our local streams!  Think CSI for streams, but without the crime! We’re looking for 15 passionate locals to join the Stream Team - email whangateaucatchment@gmail.com to by Monday 17 Feb 2025 to get involved!

Date: Saturday, 22nd February
Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Leigh Hall, followed by field work at Birdsall Stream

We’ll kick things off with an introduction to eDNA testing and geospatial mapping, giving you the skills to target your testing and interpret your findings. An then we’ll head out into the field to learn how to collect eDNA samples and get hands-on experience with the testing kits.
